Our Values
We started São Swim to make bikinis we'd want to wear for years, not just one holiday. That means thinking about what they're made from, who makes them, and how many we make.

Italian fabric that lasts
Every piece is made from Carvico Vita, an Italian swimwear fabric made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon, which comes from waste like old fishing nets and fabric scraps.
We chose it because it's soft, holds its shape and colour, and is resistant to sun cream, chlorine and salt water. A bikini that lasts is better for you and for the planet than one you replace every summer.
Made by people we know
Our bikinis are made in small batches in Bali, by a small team run by a local woman. We've worked with her since day one.
We've visited, met the team and been part of the process, and we have a really close relationship. Being a small brand means we know exactly who makes every piece.
Small batches, no overproduction
We make in small, considered quantities and restock what you love, rather than producing huge runs that end up in landfill. It's why some sizes sell out, and why our favourite styles, like the Ilhabela, come back season after season instead of being replaced.
Packaging you'll keep
Every order arrives in a recycled mailer. Your bikini comes in a waterproof, reusable bag, made to come on holiday with you, to keep your swimwear in by the pool, on the beach or in your suitcase.

Still learning
We're not perfect, and we won't pretend to be. Fashion is complicated, and every piece of clothing has an impact. What we can do is make fewer things, make them well, and keep finding better ways of doing it as we grow.
